Briefly
- Crypto-tenita Rect of drinks spread to the 7-Eleven store, starting in southern California.
- The brand sold more than 600,000 cans of its soft, sparkling waters.
- Rekt initially started with a free drop of NFT, which has not been forged, but has increased significantly since then.
Rektguy didn’t forge free NFTS on Ethereum Blockchain 2022 – but three years later, Mark became incredibly familiar with the phrase “sold out”, with the Rekt of the drink brand cleared consecutive drops and reached more and more consumer on the way.
Marko, which flooded the brutal market of the Kripto Bear, partly thanks to the power of its ardent community, has now sold more than 600,000 tin rects of drinks, soft, flavored sparkling water coming in various flavors. And this week, Marko earned accommodation in 7-Eleven, starting with trio stores in southern California.
Rect Brands Co -founder Oveie Faruq (aka OSF) said Decipher That “kind of funny” that the original offer of Rektguy NFT did not brake. The project, which began as an art collection and “lateral search” for Faruq, has since transferred his journey in the leading brand of Web3, with drinks that help him spread outside Blockchain.

“Somehow we had the decision to make. We didn’t really promise anything, there was no way, there was no promise – it was really just to be an art collection,” he said about Rektguy. “But over the next two years, it seemed to us that we have just this really sticky, cramped community that got stuck.”
It was during the summer of 2023. When ideas began to bloom about potential expansion.
“We talked about Rektguy for a while against Rekt as a concept. We put the logo on a few things, and that somehow felt like this thing could be a brand,” Faruq said, adding that the goal became a logo in as many places as possible.
The drinks felt like a natural connection, according to Faruq, partly thanks to the ability to produce them cheaply – a plus connection to Rektguy’s paintings, which houses a hood of a hood that holds a drink bottle.
Without drinking experience, the team brought in a counselor who started a drinking company in the UK. Through attempt and mistakes, they got a can of rects in the hands of participants in NFT Paris in 2024 – and they liked it.
“The feedback was really good. It was surprisingly good,” Faruq said. “Since we didn’t have experience in drinks, we just made this drink to fuck and find out, so to speak. These were real, really good feedback.”
From there, the team decided to try to produce a larger series and sell them, which led to the first major sales of liquidated lime in October – collection 222,000 drinks that have been sold out for 48 hours.
Prior to the sale, Rekt built a reward program to encourage users to deal with Mark, rewarding with the list of points to those who participated in social tasks and drink customers. Earned points, users could later request Rect Coin (Rect), Ethereum-Tocken brand -based.
“I was really inspired Saltworks the phone, “Faruq said Saga SolanAndroid smartphone that initially faced poor demand but then sold out after Bonk Meme Coin offered to customers rose in value. “No one touched it, the ton of supply remained – but as soon as people could ask for a Bondop in the amount of $ 500, the phone sold out in about 24 hours.”
After the initial success, Mark joined the Ethereum Slower-2 network Abstract For a drop of abstract apple, a new taste of its sparkling water, it sold out even faster than before.
“After that, we just had tons of people who addressed us for cooperation,” said Faruq, whose brand also rejected drinks through collaboration with NFT Marketplace OpenSe and Saltworks a decentralized exchange aggregator, Jupiter.
But beyond the crypto of the walls, the relationships did not always come easily.
“No one has heard of us outside the cryptocurrency. We spent the first sale, and people somehow wonder if this is a one -year miracle,” he said, adding that the crypto of the brand initially led to a certain skepticism. “You tell people a story, they expressed some interest, but there was really no tone of the movement,” he added.
But after abstract and opensea falls, Marka began to collect some momentum he transferred to his positions in 7-Eleven stores, setting up Rect with the giants of the drink industry.
“With 7-eleven, I just think we had a very strong terrain for them,” Faruq said. “This is the perfect product for the 7-Eleven store, and we can draw a ton of people to the stores when we start it and make it a really big and really good launch. They were on board.”
On Thursday, Mark performed her first activation of the 7-Eleven, conveying her initial planned supply of 600 cans in the process. The cans were priced at $ 2.80 pop, or $ 10 for 4-pack. The second event was held on Friday, with the last set for Saturday. And early buyers with 4 packages will also earn a rect of token every day.
“[You] Never know if people will appear on things when it’s not a crypto event, “Faruq said Decipher Initial event on Thursday. “But we had a good turnout, and all the drinks sold out obviously beautiful.”
