ADTECH based in Prague R2B2Majority owned by Private Equity Fund Genesis Capital Growth, announced the acquisition of Caroda, a leading company for video advertising SAAS. The agreement represents a strategic step forward, increases the abilities of both companies and increases growth on CEE and especially in international markets.
R2B2 specializes in maximizing income from online publishers’ advertising through proprietary technologies and demand solutions. Caroda, founded by Ioan-Carol Plângu and Roman Mura, is known for its innovative SaaS solutions that authorize publishers with tools to monetize video transparently and efficiently. Its flag technology, Multiformat Carousel, helps publishers to increase advertising revenues and in the middle of declining and market problems. By integrating Caroda’s expertise, R2B2 seeks to further strengthen its position in the central and Eastern European (CEE) and expands worldwide.

Both companies emphasize that their cooperation will start immediately, with the gradual integration of services and technologies in the coming months. For current clients, all services and technologies will continue as usual.
The acquisition is part of the wider R2B2 strategy, which includes organic growth, international expansion and strategic acquisitions. The aim of R2B2 and Caroda jointly provide the publishers needed to face the competition of global technology companies. Launching their combined expertise and sharing knowledge across international teams is partnership for further success on a challenging market.
United vision for publishers
Caroda has proven results in the Saas video, which simplifies and increases the ability of publishers to generate income. “This partnership is a key moment for Carody’s growth and innovation,” said Roman Mura, CEO of Caroda, who will continue his role and at the same time take the position of the Chief Strategic Director to R2B2. Ioan-Carol Plângu, who co-founded Caroda together with Mura, will not continue the company after the acquisition. “We create one of the most efficient platforms of online advertising market,” Roman Mura added.

Combined strengths R2B2 and Caroda will help publishers in the CEE region and, in addition to adapting to the challenges in the field, such as a decline in traffic and increased competition. The aim of the companies jointly optimize the advertising space of the publishers and to provide sustainable income growth.
Regional and global expansion support
R2B2 has been active in the adtech industry since 2014 and initially focuses on program advertising for publishers. In 2018, the company expanded to Slovakia and is now working with partners in 46 countries around the world. With the growing presence of Carody in America and Eastern Europe, both companies are ready to expand their trail and supply innovative solutions to publishers around the world.
