Pi Network goes open-source next week, but there’s still one catch

Like the crypto crowd descends on Toronto for consensus 2025, Pi network [PI] decided to steal a little reflector, close his central node and open code assessment with one significant pull.

Add to this the announcement wrapped in mystery and we have all the ingredients for stunners. But is it a real step towards decentralization, or just a well -timed Flex?

Either way, the community Pi has a reason to remain tuned – because the next chapter can be the most so far.

Central node already

The main team of PI Network officially closed its central node. The notification It was paired with a network diagram that visually confirmed the node removal.

The shift is in line with the PI mission to evolve into a decentralized blockchain, secured by its proprietary improved evidence of the proportion mechanism (IPO).

With the early publishing of the source code, the Pi community is waiting for a development that brings a new era of transparency.

But while enthusiasts celebrate, critics remain unconvincing.

The mining model based on recommendations and especially opaque administration still increases eyebrows.

For a project that champions of decentralization, these roadblocks feel contrary to the news.

The upcoming announcements can bring a change, but until the network becomes really open and without borders, nothing is certain.
