Microsoft introduced the visual character of the so-called Mico will be introducing its artificial intelligence (AI) assistant, Copilot.

This new addition was presented during a recent Copilot event.

Mico performs as a visual interface that responds to user interactionswhich changes color and expression based on conversation.

The name “Mico” comes from “Microsoft Copilot”. It is designed for they look more approachable and help users feel more connected to AI.

It’s an avatar available by default when using voice features in Copilot. Those who don’t want to use it can turn it off. For now, it is only released in the US, Canada and the UK.

It’s an interesting detail if users tap Mico a few times, it turns into Clippythe well-known assistant from older versions of Microsoft Office.

Microsoft also plans to make Copilot more useful for learning. The feature of the so-called “Learn Live” will allow AI to guide users through topics step-by-stepinstead of just answering the questions directly.

This feature is currently only available in the US. Improvements have also been made in the way AI handles health questions and deeper research topics.
