Criteo Appoints Michael Komasinski as Chief Executive Officer


Komasinski brings over 20 years of experience in leading large global AdTech organizations and a proven track record of driving accelerated growth and scale

Criteo SA, the trade media company, has announced that it has appointed its board of directors Michael Komasinski as CEO and Board member with effect February 15, 2025. Komasinski succeeds Megan Clarken who, as previously announced, is retiring and stepping down from her role as CEO and Board of Directors. Clarken will serve as a senior advisor to ensure a smooth transition.

Komasinski brings more than two decades of experience in AdTech and building brand and retail relationships around the world. Consistently demonstrates the ability to deliver exceptional results in global organizations, utilizing technology-driven strategies to drive profitable growth while cultivating an inclusive work environment. He currently serves as CEO Americas, President Global Data & Technology and a member of the Group Executive Management Team at dentsu, one of the largest global advertising holding companies. He joined dentsu through the acquisition of Merkle in 2016 and led the EMEA and Americas regions before becoming Global CEO of Merkle in 2021. At dentsu, Komasinski led the technological transformation of its product suite in an era of rapid innovation. These efforts included embedding AI into dentsu’s products and platforms to enhance client value and defining dentsu’s data-driven client-centric technology strategy, resulting in significant enterprise client wins. He also has extensive retail media expertise, having expanded Merkle’s retail media advisory practice and combined it with dentsu’s leading media buying capabilities.

Prior to joining dentsu, Komasinski was responsible at Merkle for overseeing a staff of more than 14,000 employees in more than 50 locations across the Americas, EMEA and APAC. He previously held leadership positions at Razorfish, Schawk Retail Marketing, The Nielsen Company and AT Kearney. Komasinski is a board member of the Ad Council and serves on client advisory boards for Meta and Microsoft. He received his bachelor’s degree in engineering and philosophy from Vanderbilt University and an MBA degree from Indiana University The Kelley School business.
