LinkedIn is launching some new, AI-powered tools for job seekers, with a new Job Match tool on job listingswhich will show you how you can improve your chances of getting a particular role and a separate one AI agent recruitmentwhich is part of a broader effort to include AI agents of all kinds.

First, further Job matching. Now, when you view a job ad in the app, you’ll also be able to access an additional review process that highlights how your listed skills match the advertised job and what you can do to increase your potential to land an interview.

As you can see in this example, the Job Match AI process will review your profile and provide advice based on how well your skills match those listed in the ad. They will then also be able to help you create your cover letter, introduce specific elements or guide you towards relevant courses to take to increase your potential opportunities.

As he explained LinkedIn:

“For job seekers, this unlocks the ability to target the right job opportunities by knowing where you are. Job seekers will see a full match summary that explains how the qualifications in their profile match every required and desired job qualification – within seconds. This will help you target jobs where your skills and experience match what employers are looking for.”

LinkedIn Premium subscribers will also be able to access additional insights into see how they compare to other candidates.

“[Premium users will get] a categorical rating that shows whether you are a high, medium or low match and whether you have a higher chance that the recruiter will contact you as the best candidate. Premium subscribers will also receive additional guidance through our AI-powered tools to improve their CVs, cover letters and see the jobs they are the best candidates for.“

LinkedIn says the tool is built with insights from millions of job ads, companies and professionalsproviding a wide range of data to feed this additional information and guidance. Which could be of great use in making your profile stand out on candidate lists.

Job Match is launching globally in English in the coming weeks, and will soon be available in other languages.

LinkedIn new rrecruitment AI agentmeanwhile, it is designed to help smaller companies deal with the recruitment process.

The tool essentially simplifies job listings, with a point-and-click interface for posting jobs, connecting with candidates, and reviewing candidates.

LinkedIn says that 2.5 million small and medium-sized businesses currently use the application to fill job vacancies, and this new AI agent will help them guide the process and simplify their use.

At the end of last year, LinkedIn also presented its vision of the new “agentic era” of digital connectivityin which there is more our daily interactions will increasingly be guided by AI agents that are tailored to our specific requirements.
