Polymarket punters’ odds on Changpeng ‘CZ’ Zhao’s return to Binance rose as of Friday morning following news that US President Donald Trump had pardoned the Binance founder on Thursday.

Polymarket bettors are betting on the potential return of Binance CZ

In a poll on the Polymarket website with the label “CZ will return to Binance by December 31”, the probability that Zhao will return to the crypto exchange increased to 82%.

The figure marked a 68% increase from an earlier date on October 23, when bookmakers Polymarket placed his odds of being fired at just 14%.

But on Friday night, a poll showed Zhao has a chance to make a comeback crypto organization stabilizes around 36%.

Donald Trump Pardons CZ, former CEO of Binance Teases Book

On Thursday morning, reports emerged that Trump had decided to pardon Zhao after the former Binance CEO pleaded guilty to crypto exchange money laundering violations back in 2023.

Following the news, Zhao took to X on Thursday morning to share his gratitude for receiving the pardon and thank his supporters for their “congratulations”.

“I am deeply grateful for today’s pardon and for President Trump’s support of America’s commitment to fairness, innovation and justice,” Zhao wrote. “We will do everything we can to help make America the cryptocurrency capital and push web3 around the world.”

Zhao also teased a major update, though it’s unclear what his latest project will specifically focus on.

“There’s a book coming out soon,” he said.
