Confusionartificial intelligence (AI) search tools company, has signed by a multi-year license agreement from Getty Images.
This agreement allows Perplexity to legally represents Getty’s photo content within its services.
The move is part of the company’s push to build official relationships with content, particularly after facing criticism over its previous online sourcing practices.

Getty’s vice president of strategic development, Nick Unsworth, commented that the agreement supports the idea that proper consent and attribution improve AI products.
Perplexity’s head of content partnerships, Jessica Chan, said clarity and proper credit are key when delivering information through AI. She added that their goal is to help people find visual answers while also showing where those visuals come from.
