Amid a wave of uncertainty among social media marketers about where they should focus their efforts in 2025, Pinterest is also throwing its hat into the ring, as part of a new effort to attract more advertising dollars to its app.
This week Pinterest launched new mini page which highlights the benefits of its evolving advertising tools and how brands can use them to their advantage.

Younger users have traditionally been a challenge for Pinterest, but more recently the platform’s demographics was movingand as you can see, it is now seeing greater growth and engagement among this subset of the audience.
In order to win new marketing partners, Pinterest offers direct support and also offers “bonus media” to selected brands. The specifics of his bonus offer depend on the brand, but he did and percentage match deal for advertisers who increase their investments in Pin ads before January 22.
Its bonus program will offer similar, but again, the details will be specific to each brand and relative ad spend.
So, should you be thinking about Pinterest?
Well, definitely, as Pinterest notes, it has an audience ready to shop and continues to add new users every quarter. Indeed, the platform has now hit a new high of 537 million monthly active usersafter adding another 39 million users during 2024.
So while it might not get the attention of the bigger apps, Pinterest is getting a lot of use, with many users coming to the app to find specific products and deals.
This could be relevant to your brand and promotions. And with the uncertainty surrounding TikTok and some level of backlash to changes in the X and Meta apps, perhaps now is the time to consider your options and try out Pinterest’s evolving advertising tools.
