Samson Mow, the CEO of Jan3 and the former CSO in Adam Back’s Blockstream, released a tweet that announced that 1 August 2002 invented something that later used the mysterious Satoshi Nakamoto as the basis for what later became known as Bitcoin.
Interestingly, many in the crypto community believe that the legend of Cypherpunk Adam was actually Satoshi, a mysterious inventor of digital gold.

Hashcash celebrates 23. Anniversary
23 years ago, August 1, Young Cypherpunk Adam Back, holder of PhD in distributed systems from the University of Exeter in the UK, released Whitepper’s invention-“Hashcash-punching against peace”. He developed him back to fight the growing wave of e-mail spam and attacks on the rejection of the service. However, this idea was designed several years ago, in 1997.
In the hashcash, the client must take a few times a random number with the chain and this new hash string. Then he has to do it again and again until a hash starts with a certain number of zeros.
Later, in 2008, Satoshi Nakamoto adapted the concept used for the first time in HashCash to create a mechanism of evidence of Bitcoin mining to ensure the future BTC network. Satoshi mentioned the back and hashCash in a bitcoin whitepper released in 2008.

Back denies that he is a bitcoin inventor
Given the direct connection of the Hashcash and Bitcoin Mins’ Proof of work, many believed that the mysterious Satoshi Nakamoto was none other than Adam himself, who favored so that he was no longer associated with his most famous and revolutionary “invention”.
However, this theory was denied when experts analyzed Nakamoto’s writings on the Bitcointalk Forum and compared them with their backs. There were no similarities among them. But many still believe that Bitcoin was invented by Adam. He continues to deny these statements. Back, Blockstream, came up with Bitcoin’s Lightning Network, which allows mini-bitcoins to quickly and cheap payments.
