The people in cryptocurrency are always like, “Yo, be careful”, But most of the time it just means:
Do not post your private keys (preferably);
Not click on any random link;
Don’t tell your taxi driver about your cryptocurrency victories.
But Kraken Security chief, Nick Percoco, pointed out something we often forget:
You have to be careful Even when you are surrounded by crypto to people.
Crypto conferences are getting bigger, crowds and a lot of global – And while it’s okay, This also means more chances that fraudsters are unnoticed.
|
Well, let’s get sick What did the Kraken security team noticed At recent events:
1/ People leave laptops and phones lie around.
Unlocked. In a working way. Publicly.
Reminder: Your device is Your wallet. Lock or, even better – Bring him with you.
2/ Stop talking about large public stores.
The Kraken team heard some guys talking about their stores – while carrying conference badges with their names and companies on them.
You never know who listens. To be low.
|
3/ Do not trust the public Wi-Fi.
Not safe. Especially at the events full of hackers.
Don’t do this – use VPN or stick to your mobile focal point.
4/ Be careful with QR codes.
They are located on every wall and cabin – but one replaced label is all that is necessary for a fraudster to drain the wallet.
5/ Not all those who say they are.
Even if they wear a brand T -shirt or say they work in a crypto company – check them and don’t overwhelm them.
|
Main point::
Crypto goes mainstream, which means they are cheat.
So don’t lazy just because you’re surrounded “KRIPTO BROS.” Lock your things, keep quiet about your stores and don’t trust every guy’s hood with a boring monkey.
Just remember: you’re not paranoid – you’re smart.
You are in knowledge now. But think about your friends – they probably have no idea. I wonder who could fix it … 😃🫵 Expand the word and be a hero you know you are! |
