Hey, remember a few years ago when Facebook was trying enter online meetings?
Elon Musk also suggested that X might take a look add dating elements (although it’s trying to create an “app for everyone”) and it makes sense, given all the data they have about each user’s interests, that it could work, right?
Well, there is another reason, as you can see in this list from the team at A visual capitalist: People are more willing to pay for features within online dating apps.
Which also makes sense and would be similar to why many people pay for LinkedIn Premium, as it can give you an edge in critical life decisions.
But it’s also interesting to note what people will and won’t pay for in apps in the context of social platforms running subscription features, many of which haven’t resonated with most users.
Maybe the apps themselves should take notes.
